The Bullhead City Parks & Recreation Department welcomes you & your dog to enjoy the vast amount of park space in the Bullhead City Dog Park. However, you are required to have your dog on a leash at all times.
Our leash law is one of the tools that permit dogs & dog owners to visit a park without creating safety concerns, disturbing natural resources, or diminishing a park visit for those who are less comfortable around dogs.
We know that most dogs love to run free & most dog owners would like to provide their pets with the opportunity to do so. The Bullhead City Parks & Recreation Department maintains the dog park for you & your four-legged friend(s) to enjoy.
Dog Park Rules
Please follow the Dog Park Rules while enjoying the off-leash area with your pets.
Location: Rotary Park, 2315 Balboa Dr. Bullhead City, AZ 86442
Thank you to the Executive Committee and all the wonderful volunteers during the long process of getting the dog park open. We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication and realize we wouldn’t have this wonderful dog park if it wasn’t for you. THANK YOU!

April 14th – Well…… looks like Mother Nature postponed our rock spreading today. Too much rain and the ground is too wet. We have some folks going out tomorrow to try it again. Keep your fingers crossed! Thanks to everyone who volunteered and who still showed up this morning. Don’t forget to get your brick order in. Go to Fundraising to download a form.
April 3rd – Compacting centers of sidewalk areas to prepare for crushed granite. On Saturday, April 14th, at 7:30 am, we will need 30 – 40 volunteers to help spread 46 tons of granite! Bring your gloves, rakes, shovels and wheel barrows if you have one. Gather your community group wearing your group t-shirts and get involved. Be a part of the park! Construction will move forward very quickly now so stay tuned for updates.

March 11 th – Still waiting for engineering reports for the ramadas before we install them. We’re hoping to pour sidewalks in small dog park before then. In the meantime, we’ve had a few trees delivered and planted.
Feb. 27th – Update to work progress. Concrete poured today for large dog park but we won’t be working next Saturday. Waiting for engineering on ramadas to get permits. The concrete for the ramadas will be poured at the same time. Will keep you posted…..
We’re finally seeing progress! Although there’s been a lot of “behind the scenes” work being done, progress is beginning to show. Check out our latest video!Thank you to everyone who showed up to help to set forms for the large dog park. Concrete pouring is scheduled tomorrow morning, Monday the 27th. Next Saturday, March 4th, we’ll be out again setting forms on the small dog park side. We can use as many volunteers as we can. Just show up at the park at 8 am. Thank you to everyone for your support! A a special thank you to Tom and Mark!!! We would not be able to do this without you!
It’s the beginning of 2012, only nine months since the Bullhead City Dog Park Committee began fundraising efforts to build our dog park. We have raised nearly $27,000 in addition to materials donations for construction. We still have a long way to go but with the generous support of the community, we will bring our project to fruition. Our target date to open the dog park is May 2012 although, we are behind in construction efforts. We are working diligently with the City of Bullhead City to get our project up to date. Thank you to everyone who has generously supported our efforts.
